The Wall Street Journal Agrees
Today’s WSJ article titled “Retailers Try to Thwart Price Apps” came to the same conclusions that I did here. In essence, bricks-and-mortar retailers will have to:
- Close the gap on price where they can.
- Expand proprietary labels and exclusives
- Make the in-person service valuable again.
Given the state of retail today, there will be a whole lot of losers before the winners emerge.
